a glimpse into ydessa hendeles huge installational retrospective ‘death to pigs’. albeit her grotesque and painful work I took away not only an uncanny feeling but hope and humour. vienna, 2018.
i saw abbas akhavan at villa stuck in munich in 2017. his art explores themes revolving around destruction and the acts of preservation. it might have been the best exhibition i ever saw so far because it fit beautifully in the architecture and space of the villa stuck.
